A piece from the movie "Departures"
(2009 Oscar Best Foreign Language Film) was my very first very big
cello project. At the time, I was still playing "Twinkle, Twinkle,
Little Star" and my grandad asked me if I could play this piece on his
birthday. It was around in September 2011 and his birthday was in March
this year. I knew I still had months to prepare, but it seemed like an
impossible task at the time... I made it though, with the help of my
cello teacher! I played at his birthday lunch up on the mountain and
everybody in the family was impressed. I still practice the piece
because I get an request from grandad from time to time and I would like
to get better at it!

ストがくることがあるので練習してる。いつかもっともっと上手に弾きたいから♪
